DEDICATED BELGIAN LOVERS

"HAVE YOU EVER BRED A LITTER?"

"ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE?"

BEFORE YOU BREED YOUR NEXT LITTER

ASK YOURSELF -

"Am I breeding for the sake of the breed, or for the sake of breeding?"

All breeders (that is anyone who has bred a litter) should keep in mind that YOU ARE responsible for the puppies you breed for the whole of that puppies life, not just until it is sold. Sometimes people’s circumstances can change and they can no longer keep the dog, whatever the reason. Therefore, as a responsible breeder you should be prepared to re-house your puppy/dog should the need arise, not leave it up to someone else - Breed clubs, or one of the many rescue services and lost dogs homes that are already inundated with dogs that have been dumped by uncaring and irresponsible people.

IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND REHOME A PUPPY OR DOG DO NOT BREED!

As a responsible breeder you should also supply with any puppy or dog you sell, a comprehensive list of care and feeding instructions, vaccination and worming details, etc. and be prepared to give advise or assistance if needed. If for example a health or behavioral problem does appear, even if it is not hereditary, you of all people should want to know about it.
